Ear infections are no fun. The ear
infections normally start out with the conman head cold. Like runny
thick green nose or even watering eye,
your ears can also drain a very smelly wax. You will also notices
your child is not sleeping and just
crying. They will also pull at there ears a lot or be poking there
finger in the ear or put anything that
will fit in there ears. All those are the big sings of a ear
infection.
The doctors say my girls get them so
much is because there ears are not fully formed yet. There ears
don't drain the right way. You get
fluid that builds up in your ear drum and it just sits there. If you
get a
head cold it gets that fluid infected.
Thats when it turns into a ear infection and they hurt and are just
no
fun at all. If you get one ear
infection it is more conman to keep getting them in till your ear can
drain
the fluids the right way.
I know when my girls just have a conman
head cold it tuns into a ear infections. It starts out like any
other head cold just a runny nose and
nothing more. Than over night or even in a hour it turns into a ear
infection. Than the hole thing changes
in that time and they get a very high temp and just cry and don't
stop crying. You try to get them right
into the doctors to get them on some antibiotics as soon as you
can. Than hope the antibiotics work and
clear it right up, so the kids are not in pain anymore, and they
stop crying.
There is another kind of ear infections
called malignant otitis externa which is also now as swimmer
ear. This type of ear infection is
fairly common with young teens or young adults. It is caused by
swimming at lot and getting the water
in your ears. Like when you go under the water. With this kind of
ear infection it gets inflammation
starts or irritation than thats how that kind of ear infection
starts.
Doctors also say if kids get ear
infections as a kid they are more likely to get the swimmers ear as a
teen. The fun I get to look forward to,
maybe the girls will grow out of it someday.
When I see my girls starting to get a
head cold I start think about all this. I watch them very close to
see
if there is any changes. If there is
any change I call the doctors and get them right in. I like to be on
top
of my kids health and try to stop the
ear infections before they get very bad. If you let the ear
infections
go it can damage there hearing. Also if
you have ever had a ear infections you know how bad they hurt.
The doctors say some times it is a
sharp pain or burring feeling, so I don't like it when me kids are in
that kind of pain and just cry. Poor
girls when they get the ear infections.
